Dave Davis is the President of Hotel Marketing Group. An award-winning creative designer, marketing developer and graphic artist, Dave is a graduate of San Diego State University with an advanced degree in marketing communications and fine arts.
Dave has four decades of professional experience in marketing, public relations and advertising in the hospitality industry, starting his career with Atlas Hotels, Inc. through Crest Advertising in San Diego. Dave spent 17 years with Atlas Hotels as Director of Advertising, developing an expertise focusing on a variety of market segments including, convention, trade show, leisure packaging, group and individual corporate travel, theme restaurants and health facilities.
Founder of Davis Design & Communications in 1986, Dave worked with hundreds of hotel properties both domestically and internationally in a marketing and advertising management capacity, creating thousands of ads, collateral pieces and marketing tools. Over the past 32 years in business Dave Davis has lead Davis Design & Communications through mergers and expansions into Davis McDowell, Inc. in 1994 and in 2000 to (dba) Hotel Marketing Group, a hotel advertising, marketing, public relations and web design company now representing hotels, hotel associations, convention bureaus, restaurants, management companies, allied and associated hospitality providers and purveyors.
Today, Dave works with a variety of creative writers, artists and production developers in creating marketing tools to help the hospitality industry sell products and services.
